Itineraries

Day 1

Haridwar to Barkot (170 km / 6–7 hours)

After breakfast, set out on a scenic drive to Barkot, passing through Dehradun and the charming hill station of Mussoorie. En route, take a refreshing break at the beautiful Kempty Falls, where you can relax and soak in the natural surroundings.

On arrival in Barkot, a serene town nestled amid snow-capped mountains, enjoy mesmerizing views of the Bandarpoonch range. Check in to your hotel or camp and spend the remainder of the day at leisure, unwinding in the peaceful Himalayan setting.

Day 2

Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (45 km drive + 5 km trek)

After an early breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti, the base point for the trek to Yamunotri, the sacred origin of the Yamuna River. Begin your trek through scenic Himalayan trails leading to the revered shrine.

Upon arrival, take a holy dip in the Surya Kund hot springs and participate in the traditional ritual of cooking rice in its natural geothermal waters. Seek blessings at the Yamunotri Temple, devoted to Goddess Yamuna, and spend time absorbing the tranquil spiritual atmosphere.

Later, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3

Barkot to Uttarkashi (85 km / 3–4 hours)

After breakfast, proceed on a scenic drive to Uttarkashi, a sacred town located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax.

Later, visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Spend the evening immersed in the serene and spiritual atmosphere of this holy town.

Day 4

Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (97 km one way)

Begin your day with breakfast before setting out on a scenic drive to Gangotri, the sacred origin of the holy River Ganga. Upon arrival, visit the revered Gangotri Temple, set amidst pristine Himalayan surroundings, and take a holy dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Bhagirathi River at its source.

Pay your respects at Bhagirath Shila, the sacred rock where King Bhagirath is believed to have meditated to bring the Ganga down to Earth. Spend time absorbing the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere of this divine site.

Later, drive back to Uttarkashi and enjoy a relaxed evening.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 5

Uttarkashi - Haridwar (167 Km/6 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the surroundings or unwinding after the journey.

Overnight stay in Haridwar.
